Destiny 2 Season 22 Update: Release Date, Start Time, And Patch Notes

The new season arrives with lots of new content.

Destiny 2 players will soon receive access to Season 22, which is supposed to bring a whole lot of new content to the game as well as some meaningful changes to different parts of the gameplay mechanics. After all the backlash over Season 21's shortcomings, Bungie has promised some big changes and features for the upcoming season, which makes it a highly anticipated release.

With Season 22, players can expect the return of an old raid with some essential changes to help ease in newcomers and make a fresher experience for veteran players. Other than that, some changes will be applied to the Seasonal Artifact as well as the PvP multiplayer experience, which is supposed to receive a new map. Even Gambit will have a returning map this season after remaining unchanged for a long time.

You can expect Season 22 to be available at the weekly reset time. This means the update for the new season will go live around 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 5PM UTC / 6PM BST / 7PM CEST on August 22. Keep in mind that the servers will go down for maintenance before the update become available for download.

According to Bungie, the game servers will go down on August 22 at 7:15AM PT / 10:15AM ET / 2:15PM UTC / 3:15PM BST / 4:15PM CEST. The maintenance is expected to end at the times we mentioned above, but that doesn't mean you will be able to play Destiny 2. While the update will be available for download, you might not be able to log in properly until 12PM PT / 3PM ET / 8PM BST.
